It's been a short and rainy summer here in Ottawa, so on precious sunny days I've been dashing outside to make the most of it. One of my favourite ways to stretch out these last few weeks of warmth? A Pot & Pantry picnic!
My pal Robin owns Pot & Pantry, a charming kitchen & artisanal food shop on Elgin Street. She's a big-time foodie who just loves being outside, so she thought, why not combine two of her favourite things? Voilà: she launched her #PackAPicnic program.
Here's how it works in three quick steps:
1. Visit her awesome little shop and choose your favourite local cheeses, preserves, crackers, soft drinks, handcrafted chocolate, and other munchies (spoiler alert: she's got gourmet potato chips!).
2. Pack your goodies into one of her adorable Pot & Pantry picnic boxes -- with handles for easy carrying!
3. Head to your favourite picnic spot and enjoy! Not sure where to go? Wanna find a new spot? Robin's happy to share her list of favourite spots!

I adore Robin's shop because she goes out of her way to source handcrafted, small batch goods, including a few makers I've never seen in Ottawa til now.
Here's a list of some of her gourmet makers you simply MUST check out:
