Life's been busy of late, and I have to admit I've been craving a date night with hubby. I'm blessed to have a schedule that's jam-packed but every so often we all need to unplug, slow down, and simply enjoy each other's company, you know?
On Monday I did exactly that, and hubby and I headed to the Andaz Ottawa Byward Market Hotel to check out their date night deal. My gosh, Andaz did not disappoint. Incredible food and polished service from start to finish. Really, can I just move in? I never want to leave that place. Like ever. Genuinely helpful staff, oodles of locally sourced goods, and I dare you to find a more modern and stylish spot.

Andaz Ottawa's date night deal is available Mondays through Thursdays til the end of March, so book now and tell 'em I sent ya! The deets:
- $120 per couple plus tax and gratuity

Chef LaSalle's menu was divine, and I chose a carrot salad (above), steak-frites (with lobster butter sauce, OMG!), and a coffee crisp-inspired dessert, while hubby went for an elk rillette, confit chicken with gnocci and mushrooms, and a mind-blowing chocolate tarte featuring locally made Hummingbird Chocolate (below).
Then we headed upstairs to Copper Spirits + Sights and enjoyed the best view in Ottawa over glasses of rosé bubbles, and chatted with a hilarious bunch of visitors from Toronto.
We loved every second of our date night, from our wonderful server at Feast + Revel (thanks Theresa!) to chatting with Chef LaSalle (Chef, that rillette!!) and clicking glasses upstairs at Copper. A wonderful evening of slowing down and enjoying good company and conversation.
