On Saturday, two of my closest friends tied the knot after nearly a decade together. As a former wedding planner I was honoured to help my pals Robin and Jun make their day a reality. I wanted to help give them a celebration worthy of their relationship.
We planned the whole thing in about three months, so it was quite a whirlwind and called for creative thinking and elbow grease. One of the ways we got sh!t done was by teaming up with incredible local businesses and entrepreneurs who gave generously of their time and talents. In October I'll be sharing an in-depth feature spotlighting each one of them, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, our fantastic photographer, Tia Photography, already sent over teaser images from this amazing day. Tia, you absolutely blow me away with your eye for detail and your natural touch. Thank you a million times over for being part of Robin and Jun's wedding day!
So peeps, please enjoy a few teasers til next month's feature. Cheers to love!
Robin's beautiful suede heels were her "something blue" and I just adore her big, fluffy bouquet by Roots & Shoots Flower Farm.
Angie Cambareri (above on the left), is co-owner of Vincent Boutique on Preston and also happens to be a phenomenally talented makeup artist. She created an effortlessly lovely look for Robin:
Isn't she radiant? And how gorgeous is her dress?! Robin's suite at the brand new Andaz Ottawa Byward Market provided the perfect backdrop with incredible views of downtown. I spy the National Gallery of Canada where I got married six years ago!
The ceremony and reception took place at the Ottawa Rowing Club, one of Ottawa's best kept secrets for weddings and events. It's charming, rustic, and right on the banks of the Ottawa River.
Honestly, don't you just adore these two? This photo is so exquisite it makes me want to cry. Yup, I'm a sap.
Robin and Jun, what a way to celebrate your tenth anniversary. Love you both!
