I want to say an exceptionally huge thanks to all of you for being amazing support of Friday night's fundraiser for the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue at The Body Shop inside Rideau Centre.
So many of you generous souls donated beautiful raffle prizes, stopped by to say hello, made a donation, entered the raffles, and visited the kitties. Like this little sweetheart, Oolong:
Throughout the course of the day, The Body Shop staff and I were amazed by how many donations kept rolling in. There were amounts big and small, and even repeat donors making several trips to the shop to donate again. And every last cent went to the hardworking team at the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue.

Yup, you read that right. In just one day all us crazy cat folks banded together and raised over THREE GRAND for some very deserving kitties. Wanna know what else?

Yup, you read right again. By Saturday, the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue had reviewed all the adoption applications received at The Body Shop event on Friday, and they were able to successfully place three deserving kitties in their fur-ever homes. Three! And as I write this, a fourth adoption is pending.
For a shelter that was at capacity due to the summer kitten boom, placing three (and potentially four) kitties in forever homes means they can now continue helping kitties in need.
I'm absolutely gobsmacked by the generosity shown by all of you. And to The Body Shop, it was an absolute honour collaborating with you on this event; thank you from the bottom of my (crazy cat lady) heart. xo
