During the winter, my favourite place to be is Château Montebello. Last year my hubby and I went for the first time (to escape home renovation chaos), and my gosh, we could hardly believe our eyes.
It's basically the world's biggest log cabin and the storeys-high fireplace is something to behold.
We were only away for a single night but we felt like we'd been away for a week.
It truly is a place to relax and unplug, and in the winter it's pure magic: mulled wine by the fire, dogsledding, miles of trails, and a gorgeous pool where you can watch the snow falling outside.
A recently I took two of my girlfirends for their first time, and in a few weeks I'm lucky enough to be headed back with my hubby.
